The Sand Soil and Ashes
Your sand from your wedding or a loved ones ashes are treated with the utmost respect throughout the making of your Close To Your Heart Bead. The sand soil or ashes are kept at my 'Glass Butterfly Studio' where the beads are processed.
I am a family run business and I am the only lampworker.
Each order is handled separately. The sand soil or ashes, along with the customer's details, are sealed in a zip-lock folder so they are not contaminated by other orders.
When purchasing, customers must understand that, due to the nature of the craft involved, variations will occur in size, shape, colour and pattern. Images and sizes provided are for guidance only but will be adhered to as closely as possible.
The signing of the order form is a commitment to the details contained within. I do not take responsibility for any errors once a form is signed.
Small air bubbles may occur during the making of the bead. This is due to a reaction with the sand, soil or ashes being added to the hot glass. This does not affect the strength of the bead.
Sand, soil or ashes being sent to me still remain the responsibility of the sender. A stamped addressed envelope is provided in the bead pack.
